STYROFOAM RECYLING

Green Century is now offering Styrofoam and plastic recycling to residents through our public drop-off and businesses. Styrofoam

the sudden closure of Agilyx in Tigard Oregon left many residents and businesses without a proper way to dispose of their styrofoam.  We here at Green Century were no different.

We had just opened our public drop-off to styrofoam and set it up based on the processing with Regenex and Agilyx whe we learned through Metro that the processor and site was shutting down

The official release on the Regenex website :

“The project term successfully ended in 2024 and the decision was made to close the Regenyx facility and focus on larger, more economic projects. Over the course of the venture, Regenyx diverted over 6 million pounds of post-use polystyrene waste from landfills.”

All this to say we are happy for Agilyx and there new, bigger market share.

Green Century is here to stay and provide certified e-waste, universal waste and now STYROFOAM recycling to the Pacific Northwest.
