Green Century is revising the roster of items accepted at our public drop-off location in Northwest Portland, Oregon. Alongside electronic devices and Universal waste, we are now welcoming additional materials such as styrofoam, plastic stretch wrap polyethylene, clear bubble wrap, and more. Please contact us for further information.
On April 22nd, as Earth Day approaches, we’re excited to announce our lineup of community events planned to celebrate this important occasion. This spring, we’re focusing on engaging with neighborhoods across the Pacific Northwest.
We’re hosting events in various locations including NE, SW, Lake Oswego, and Multnomah County. These events are free of charge and open to everyone. At each location, Green Century will have dedicated staff available to answer any questions and provide education on the entire recycling process.
In addition to our community events, we’re gearing up for our annual audits of R2 and ISO standards. This period is always busy as we ensure all paperwork is in order and all training requirements are fulfilled. However, it’s also a reflective time, reminding us why we pursue certification to these standards and undergo these audits.
This year, the answer came swiftly: We love what we do. We take pride in our role in cleaning up the world’s e-waste. The certifications and audits serve as tangible evidence of our commitment to responsible recycling practices. |
